The initiation into reading holds vital importance as it fosters a passionate connection to this practice. Parents and the family environment play a crucial role in this process. Similarly, the preschool period, school, as well as media and surroundings, all contribute to shaping this reading education. As practitioner-researchers, our goal is to document the challenges faced by teachers in the second year of primary education in the public sector, and then to evaluate the effectiveness of a didactic approach we have developed to enhance the teaching and learning of reading. We aim to reconsider how we teach reading in our classrooms by implementing an approach centered around our reference documentation, namely the teacher's guide, the student booklet, and the strategic vision for 2015-2030.
