Several studies indicated that Malaysians are less patriotic because they do not engage actively in patriotic activities. The objectives of this study are to investigate the level of patriotism among undergraduates according to gender, ethnicity and faculties of studies. In addition, this study also investigates the correlation between students’ levels of patriotism and their interest in History. The samples of this study consist of 120 undergraduates from a private university in Selangor. Convenience sampling was employed in choosing the samples. This quantitative study used questionnaire as instrument in collecting the data. Prior to the actual study, a pilot test was conducted (among 45 undergraduates students from the same university) to obtain the reliability of the instrument. The quantitative data from the questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS program for Windows version 22. Descriptive statistics (mean) and inferential statistic (T-test, One Way ANOVA, Turkey HSD, and Pearson correlation) were used in analyzing the data. The findings reveal that there is no significant difference in the students’ level of patriotism according to gender. The findings also indicate there is a significant difference in students’ level of patriotism according to ethnicity. But, there is no significant difference in their level of patriotism according to their faculties of studies (Education, Engineering and IT). Besides that, the findings show that there is a positive significant correlation between students’ level of patriotism and their interest in History. These findings have crucial theoretical implications, pedagogical implications and practical implications.

Alice Quinn, the long-time Poetry Editor at New Yorker and executive director of the Poetry Society of America along with writers like Joshua Bennett, Billy Collins, Cornelius Eady, Deb Garrison, Ada Limon, Amit Majumdar, Kamilah Aisha Moon, Jane Hirshfield , Jenny Xie and Matthew Zapruder, Carl Philips, Evie Shocksley, Yusef Komunyakaa, Grace Schulman , Julia Guez , Julia Alvarez, Major Jackson, Didi Jackson etc. have contributed to the making of a book, a collection of 85 poems named as “Together in a Sudden Strangeness” which is about isolation, grief, boredom, and hope and has been published by Knopf as an e-book on 9th of June,2020 with a hardcover edition to follow in November. Other Poets like Simon Armitage, Albert Frank Moritz, Derek Mahon, Ayodeji Malcolm Guite and Gabriel Rosenstock have also shown their interest in the contribution. Poetry in the Timeof Coronavirus: The Anthology edited by G. A. Cuddy is a dedicated work to Health Professionals. Despite the negative situations of the Pandemic these Poets have shared their common thoughts and views on humanity and concern for society. These Poems make the readers aware of the problems arised by this pandemic. The present paper is an attempt to show the types of poetry written so far in the midst of crisis, separation, agony etc. caused by COVID-19.

What preschool education should teach after all is a problem that we have to consider in order to run preschool education well. According to the law of preschool children’s physical and mental development and the needs of today’s social development, preschool education should promote preschool children’s physical and mental and social development, cultivate preschool children’s positive competence, and lay a solid foundation for preschool children’s lifelong development. It should cultivate the core competences that people should have today to lay a positive “keynote” for preschool children’s lifelong development, rather than teach preschool children knowledge and skills as the current preschool education of primary schoolization. Therefore, on the current vision of cultivating craftsman’s psyches, preschool education should focus on cultivating preschool children's positive psychological and behavioral qualities, such as good behavior habits, determination, sense of responsibility, creativity, curiosity, indomitable spirit, enterprising spirit and EQ.

This study investigates the effect of visual structure presented in visual metaphor on the viewer’s cognitive elaboration. It also attempts to examine the role of verbal text in enhancing the cognitive elaboration of visual structure. To this end, this research uses Phillips and Mc Quarrie’s [1] typology of visual metaphor which offers three types of visual structure, namely: juxtaposition, fusion and replacement. The first finding shows that viewers enjoy processing incongruity presented in less complex visual structure, i.e. juxtaposition and fusion. However, a high level of incongruity in visual structure, notably replacement, requires more cognitive elaboration and extra mental effort, and will lead the viewers to opt out from processing the visual structure. As far as verbal text is concerned, the main results show that the introduction of a verbal text has a significant effect on processing complex visual structure, i.e. replacement. For visual structures of juxtaposition and fusion, the presence of verbal text does not have a significant effect on processing visual structure. Consequently, the main finding of this study lies in the fact that viewers enjoy solving incongruity in print advertisements. However, when the level of incongruity increases and becomes too complex to process and understand, the viewer will simply opt out from processing the metaphorical image. The introduction of verbal text in this case will help viewers process the incongruity.

Innovation is recognized increasingly the development and catalyst for different educational institutions. It is the key factor to promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship through curricula and promote innovation through research and development. The study aims to identify the strength of research innovation in a meaningful and tangible activities in the area of sustainable development of teaching, innovation for teaching and development, teaching strategy development and learning, and learning competency of students. The study employs the descriptive research method and design because it is inherent simplicity, flexibility and utility in diverse research and innovation context. The subjects of the study are the professional teachers and lecturers in various educational institutions and are expert in their field of specialization. The study comprised 76 respondents only. Results show that learning is made relevant by applying situation to their lives, take a deeper interest in the subject and become more engaged in their learning and make students learn empathy, compassion and develop healthy relationship throughout their lives that will lead to passionate and engaged adults in terms of sustainable development of teaching, provide innovation for teaching and development that will empower student to become lifelong learners who are agent of change in terms of innovation for teaching and development, provides a useful teaching strategy and communication about student development in terms of teaching strategy in development and learning, and make learning competencies for combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that students develop and apply for successful learning, living, and working in terms of learning competency of students.

This study investigated the factors affecting the financial sustainability of local non - governmental organizations in Tanzania using a case of Bukoba Municipal Council. The study had three specific objectives which were, to explore multiple sources of financial diversification strategies used by LNGOs to ensure financial sustainability, to examine the influence of leadership competencies on strategic financial management in LNGOs, to study the influence of donor‟s funding policies on the financial sustainability of LNGOs. This study adopted a descriptive case study research design with a sample size of 135 respondents. This study employed interviews, questionnaire, and documentary in data collection tools. SPSS and content data analysis were employed for data analysis. The study found that sources such as social entrepreneurship activities, fundraising events, tapping international funding streams, sourcing from corporate donors and partners, owning and managing own business, consultancy as well as training for fee are commonly used, and also it was found that the majority of LNGOs‟ leaders have low academic qualifications on strategic financial management. Finally, the study recommends that the LNGOs leaders should seek for training from the reputable financial institutions to upgrade their leadership competencies on strategic financial managements particularly on the capability to handle a number of projects, skills on financial governance, as well as having enough practices and approaches on strategic financial management.

Every tribal around the world have one thing in common and that is a system of belief in a supernatural power, a spirit – benevolent and malevolent, spirits who bring misfortune and blessings, etc. Just like so, Adi Minyong and Lushei who inhabited the North eastern part of India have their own methods of worshipping their gods. They are surrounded with a multitude of nature deities who played an important part in their day-to-day life. This idea of polytheism pervades through every facet of their lives, manifesting in the form of rituals, be it agrarian rites, sacrifices, festivals, funerals and illness. Since there are no written records which can served as an evidence for the origin of their beliefs system, their beliefs system are totally based on oral and myths which had been passing on from generation to generation. Here we will try to analyze and compare the differences and similarity between the Adi Minyong beliefs system to that of the Lushei.

The newly discovered infectious disease called Covid-19 caused by a Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) shivered the entire world. We know that it is declared as a pandemic by the WHO- World Health Organization. In this situation whole education system across the world is changed and it forced educators to shift to an online mode of teaching overnight. In India Educational institutions are based on traditional methods of learning, it is face-to-face teaching in a classroom. Due to pandemic all education institutes have no option but to shift entirely to online teaching–learning. The present study was therefore designed to study the parent's perspective and attitudes about online classes being conducted at the school level. An Observational, Descriptive study was conducted. The data was collected using a Questionnaire. The present study was carried out amongst 100 parents. After analyzing the results, it was found that students like studying through online classes. The reason for liking was found as flexible study time and comfortable place. As the parents are not in favor of online classes, such classes must be continued with some interventions and innovation.
